Every resident deserves to live in decent conditions, but in recent years, residents have not been. Seeing the decrepit state of the flats in Regina Road, South Norwood was horrifying and the fact that then-Labour controlled Croydon Council didn't take action to address this was unjust and not right.

Having grown up in social housing myself and seeing my family's bathroom mouldy, decaying and barely functioning, I want to ensure that everyone in social housing lives in decent conditions.
